O Lord, our Good Shepherd, you are the source of all true and lasting joy. We praise you for

your power which is beyond compare. We worship you for your wisdom which is beyond

understanding. You can meet all our needs. You restore the brokenhearted and heal the

wounded. You have revealed yourself to your people and are building your church, against which

the gates of hell can not prevail. How great you are. Lord! Fill our hearts with love as we respond

by singing praises to you.

Eternal God, you are our Rock, you are the firm foundation for everything we build. You give

gifts to your people for the good of the church. You equip and train your people to carry

out the good works you have prepared for us in advance. As we meet today, we ask that

you would provide wisdom, guidance and direction. Remind us that you are our loving ally,

you are our fortress, you are our tower of strength and you are our rescuer. Everything

we need is found in you. In the Name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

 *PRAYER OF DEDICATION (IN UNISON)

Patient and Merciful God, we hear your call to live in love as Christ loved us and

gave himself up for us. Our ears hear these words in our worship; our minds know

what they mean; our hearts long to follow them; but we know that tomorrow we

will be tempted to slip into the familiar life where we ourselves are at the center

of our world and the needs we focus on are almost entirely our own. In our giving

this day, help us strengthen our resolve to love as Christ loves us, for it is in the

name of Jesus that we pray. Amen. (Ephesians 4:25-5:2)
